We make a living by what we get,

But we make a life by what we give.

I am exactly two weeks away from my solo trip to Hanoi, Vietnam and I am thrilled, albeit rather nervy. Reason being, I've been hearing from friends and family how they or their friends, were robbed and pick-pocketed in Vietnam- even upon arrival at the airport. Though I place all trust and faith in Him to keep me safe from harm and danger, I have decided to travel light! Really thankful that J offered a legit backpack I could borrow. Having spent 1.5k on this trip, I am currently pinching pennies- scrimping and saving so I won't be that hard-up when I'm back.

Not quite worried about getting a culture shock or having to bunk in with a couple other volunteers- I'm more concerned about being a good teacher to the Vietnamese kids at the orphanage. Spontaneity is king, but not when it involves more than one! Oh.. And having to sleep without my giraffe for 14 nights is just unimaginable.

That aside, life has been pretty good. I will be eating clean and keeping fit for the next two weeks just so I will be able to shoulder, quite literally, the heavy backpack I'll be bringing with me!
